Salon Quality Nails at a FRACTION of the cost

I had silk or gel wraps on my nails for about 10 years on and off and suddenly realized I was spending about $1200 a year on these things! After my wedding I had the wraps removed and I went on a supplement that I took about 4 years ago after I accidentally slammed my thumb in a car door. The doctor told me to take this to help my nail grow back. Not only did it grow back but my nails looked so good, they looked like wraps! I'm now taking this supplement and I'm putting $100 into savings every month instead of getting my nails done.

The supplement is called Knox for Nails, Gelatine Dietary Supplement. To purchase, click here. Most drug stores and supermarkets do carry it.

i swear you read my mind. Just yesterday i was looking at my nails that have waves on them... hard to describe... like rings type thingies... and are really ugly looking. I obviously need some nutrients. Glad this worked for you, I'll give it a shot.

I was thinking I would have the gel removed to let my nails breathe and give them a break from the pink & whites. Guess my manicurist won't be too happy but will give the Knox a try. Have heard of the benefits years ago but never tried it. I'll probably mix it with water with Crystal Lite Lemonade flavor. Will report back the results. Thanks! ...Now what to do with the $100 a month saved...

After thinking about it for a while and being encouraged by your blog I had my pink & white gels removed yesterday. The manicurist was very careful not to keep my nails in the acetone for longer than necessary. After two years my nails are free of the gels and I started the Knox this morning. Ready to gag, I found it not at all distasteful -- Just drink it cold and well-shaken. I think it will take longer than a month to strengthen them but will report the progress. Thank you for the encouragement and healthful tip -- not to mention the savings per month. Will keep in touch! And will save having gels done for special occasions.
